Lane Shadwell Constable taken on Oath the 6th. day
of December 1786

Who says on the 23rd Day of November last past he received Information
That the persons who were concerned in a Burglary [..] in the House of Miss
Hester Jason< no role > at Wansted in the County of Essex were in a Public house near overfull That he went with George Foreister< no role >
Stephen Reynolds< no role > and Thomas South< no role > to the Sign of the Swan and hoop
at Moorgate in the City of London where he apprehended John Say< no role > William
Staton< no role > otherwise Dickenson< no role > John Jones< no role > and William Potter< no role > . Says that
he with the said Stephen Reynolds< no role > went to the Apartments of the said John Say< no role >
in a Court in Whitecross Street St. Luke Middlesex . in which apartments he found the Woman
now [..] present who says her name is Margaret Say< no role > and the
Gown in pieces now producedwhich said Gown The said Haster Jason has
sworn to be her property and Stolen out of her said dwelling house
