Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Thomas Wallis< no role >
Says
that a person now present who calls himself Edward Smith< no role >
hath lived as a
Porter
with him for near two Yearsthat on Monday Evening the 26th. of June
instant he he perceived said Edward Smith< no role >
going out of his said Shop with
a Sack under his Armthat he asked him where he was going with the
Sack when he replied to Mr. Morgans in Shorts Gardensthat he desired said
Smith to put down said Sack which he refused, on which he
Suspected he had something in itthat he then stopped him and
on searching the Sack found a Quantity of Terra desina now
produced thereinthe said Thomas Wallis< no role >
for himself further says that
after having secured said Edward Smith< no role >
he with said John Sayer< no role >
searched the Lodgings of said Smith in Monmouth Court
Monmouth Street
where they found two [..] Quart [..] Bottles of black Japan a
Quantity of Olympian Green Paint & an Earthen Bottle containing Oil
Varnish now produced which he is very sure are his property and were Stolen from himand the said John Sayer< no role >
for himself says that
he on Monday Night last found in the Lodgings of Edward Smith< no role >
aforesaid all the last mentioned aforesaidArticles in the presence of the said
Thomas Wallis< no role >
