Street in the Parish of Saint Giles in the fields
John Pearce< no role > and Robert Vint< no role > both of the Parish
of Saint James Westminster taken upon Oath
before me this 17th. day of February 1785

John Chard< no role > Saith that on Thursday Morning the 17th.
of February 1785 about half past three o'Clock going through Vigo
Lane this Informant Passed the Prisoner Thomas Jones< no role >
who Asked him what o'Clock it was made no Answer in
a Short Space after the Prisoner came up to his side and
said Stop and deliver your Money, this Informant
Immediately turned and Saw Something Shine in his hand
then turned into the Horseway and Cryed Watch and Stop
thief. the Prisoner Ran away and this Informant never lost
Sight of him till he was taken by the Watchman in Glass-
-house Street Saint James's

John Pearces< no role > Saith that on Thursday Morning the 17th. of February
1785 about half past three o'Clock this Informant hearing the
Cry of Stop thief saw the Prisoner Running toward him in
Glass house Street Saint James's with Something Shining in his
hand which he heard drop and Immediately Setzed hold
of him and took him with assistance to the Watch house, then
desired Robert Vint< no role > to go back and look for what the Prisoner dropt
Robert Vint saith that on Thursday Morning the 17th. of February 1785
near four o'Clock this Informant was desired by Pearce at Saint
James's Watch house to got to Glass house Street to look for
something the Prisoner had dropt, this informant went
