The Information of Sarah James< no role > and James
Walter Whiter
< no role > taken on Oath the 25th day of
January 1785 before me one of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex

This Informant Sarah James< no role > Saith That on Saturday night
last about Six OClock the Dwelling house of William James< no role > her
Husband in Wilkies Court in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
was broke open and no person then being therein, and was
stolen and carried away there from a Mans Coal and
a large Quantity of wearing Apparel the property of her
said Husband And further Saith that a Coat and other
property now produced by Henry Banford< no role > a Peace officer
is the same property that was Stolen and carried away
from her Husband house as aforesaid

This Informant James Walter Whiter< no role > Saith That
he lives in Half Nichol street in the Parish of Saint
Matthew Bethnal Green (Middlesex ) And that on Saturday
Evening last about Six OClock just as he Came out of
his house, he saw two Lads each of them having a
Bundle in their Custody, who seemed to appear to be
Confused, which caused this Informant to suspect
that the bundles had been stolen, when instantly
they each of them took up a bundle and was coming
towards this Informant, and the first that came up
to him this Informant, Informant held up his stick
and said you Rogue that's not your property and
immediately slipt by this Informant, the other
Lad being close behind this Informant with
his Stick stopt him and the bundle he had with
