upon Oath before me William
Bleamire< no role > Esqr . one of His Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the
said County of Middlesex this 3d.
day of January 1785

This Informant upon his Oath
saith that on Saturday night being
the 1st. January Instant between the
hours of five and Six he heard his Shop
window break and immediately ran
out of his Shop when Thomas Dowley< no role >
had apprehended a man who says
his name is Joseph Jeffs< no role > with a
Pieces of flowered V [..] the property
of this said Informant & his Partner
Stephen Smith< no role > which was feloniously
stolen as he verily believes by the said
Joseph Jeffs< no role >
