Watchman of the said Parish Taken this
first day of August 1784 before us two
of his Majestys Justices of the peace
in
and for the said County.
Who being on his Oath Saith that on Thursday
the 23d. day of September last he in Company with

and John and Robert Smith< no role >
were
Stopped by three Footpads about the Middle of
Salmons Lane< no role >
on their return from Stepney to
Limehouse
ina Hackneythe Limehouse
Step [..] Coach., That upon the
Stopping of the Coachandher hearing a Noise
and seeing a Person on the Opposite side of the Coach
looking in at the Window Informant got out of
the Coach and Met a man coming from behind the
Coach who sayed (as Informant believes to his
Companions) Damn their we will do them Now
Meaning as Informant believes that the would
rob them now. That the said man per [..] ing
Informant had a Blunderbuss turned upon his
Heel and ran away when Informant [..] at him
but missing him he pursued him and after running
about fifteen yards he fell down when this [..] Informant
and John Smith< no role >
Secured him and on her being
Taken asked Informant and said Smith what he
had done. That upon his being searched the Knife
now produced was found in his possession. And
