me this 27th. day of September 1784.
Who being on Oath say and first the said Deborah Hart< no role >
says
that on Monday last the 20th. Instant two persons now present who
call themselves Robert Artx and Thomas Gore< no role >
came to her shop and
asked to look at some Glasses and other things. That a Quantity of Goods
were looked out, that they left their address and desired the Goods to
be sent and they would pay for them. That a short time after her
Husband came home when this Informant told him she feared
she had had Sharpers in the shop; that on her Husband looking
into the Glass she found that a Diamond Ring, [..] Enamel Rings and other
things had been Stolen. And the said Hyam Hart< no role >
says that a
Diamond Ring, an Enamel Ring, and a Locket now produced are
his property and were Stolen from his shop. And the said Charles
Jealous< no role >
says that on Monday last he Apprehended said Robert
Ark< no role >
and Thomas Gore< no role >
, [..] and under the Grate in said Artz's
Lodgings he found the Diamond Ring, and in said Artz's pocket he
found the Shop mark now produced; and this Informant further says
that on said Artx's finger he found the Enamel Ring now produced.
