for the said
County of Middlesex

First
This Examinant Saith That on Saturday the Thirteenth day of
December Instant about five O'Clock in the Evening this Examinant
Informantand
William Norgate< no role >
now in Custody were both together at the Dukeshead
in Wentworth Street
Spitalfields
, and said Norgate proposed to this
Examinant togethr the house of one Carey otherwise Cadey in Bell lane
Spitalfields
to borrow Chissells to rip up Load in Angel Alley
they
having before agreed so to do, Accordingly Norgate went out and
returned to the Dukes head and brought with him an Iron Crow
and this Examinant and the said

about six
O'Clock that Evening went from the Dukes head aforesaid into
Angel Alley
into a House there unoccupied, by getting over a Wall
and ripped from a Gutter of the said House a large Quantity of
Lead and brought the same down stairs and left it in the yard.
They this Examinant and the said

went to
the house of

otherwise Cadey in Bell Lane
aforesaid
and acquainted him that they had got the Lead from the Gutter
and Carey otherwise Cadey then took up a bag and they all
three Came together to the place where the Lead was left by
this Examinant
Informantand the said

, And this Examinant
stood at the door of the house whilst Norgate and Carey otherwise
Cadey went and put the Lead into a Bag, and then they all
three came away together and went to said Careys otherwise
Cadeys house he the said Carey otherwise Cadey carrying the
same all the way. This Examinant further Saith that
about a Week before they Committed this Robbery he this Examinant
and the said

otherwise Cadey
had agreed to Committ the above Robbery and had proceeded past
of the way for that purpose but thro' some Interruption it was
put off till the Saturday night when the same was done.
