The Informations of John Orange< no role > and
William Elley< no role > two of the Headboroughs of
the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the
County aforesaid Taken this Tenth day
of January 1784 before us two of his
Majesty's Justices of the peace in and
for the said County.

Who being on their Oaths severally Say and first
the said John Orange< no role > saith that on the second day of
January Instant he with the other Informant
Executed a Warrant upon one William Tomlin< no role > of
Star Street Shadwell for an Assault committed by
him upon one Edward Clarke< no role > and that during the
time the said Tomlin was in their Custody he
gave Information of a Portmanteau Frank having
been Stoke out of a Coach at Wapping Wall the
proceeding Evening and that he (Tomlin) was in
possesion of Part of the Contents of the said Trunk
to the Amount of near One hundred Pounds.

That in Consequence thereof Informant went with
Tomlin to his House when said Tomlins Ordered his
wife to bring down the things which were above
Stairs (meaning as Informant believes the property
Tomlin sayed he had in his possession). That his
wife accordingly went up Stairs and brought down
a Pistol. a Small Quantity of Ladies Trinkets and
a Book of Accounts now here produced and which are
but of very till be ValueThat Informant then
asked both Tomlin and his wife if they were in
Possesion or knew of anyothermore of the property so
