The Information of Samuel Lemare< no role > taken on Oath
the Twenty Second day of November 1783 before me
one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex

Who on his Oath Saith That on Monday the Seventeenth day of
November Instant about half on hour past Eight O'Clock at
night he was going down Raven row Spital fields in his way home
and as he was turning the Corner of Raven row he heard Edward
Thompson
< no role > the little boy now here present cry out stop thief; That
immediately he saw James Macanley the Prisoner now under
Examination Stoped by three or four men and as soon as the
man had Stopped him he saw the said James Macanley< no role > throw
away a bundle from behind him And that a Woman whom this
Informant doth not know picked up the said Bundle and delivered
it to some man who gave the same into the hands of the said
Edward Thompson< no role > And that this Informant asked the said
Edward Thompson< no role > if that was his bundle to which he answered
it was And that the said James Macanley had taken it from
him And this Informant Saith that he took Particular
Notice of the said Bundle And that it is the same now
