The Information of Anthony Asserets< no role > of No.
225 in Oxford Street Gentleman and Richard
Blandy< no role > of Saint Martin in the Fields Constable
taken before me this 10th.. day of December
1783.

Who being on Oath say and first the Anthony Asserts says
That on Monday the 3rd at November last as he was going into
the Two Shilling Gallery at Drury Lane Theatre, he observed a
Person now present who calls himself John Murphy< no role > just before
him That said Murphy came by him at which time he felt
said Murphy take this Informants Watch and one Seal Where
upon this Informant laid hold of said Murphy by his CollarThat
said Murphy disentergted himself and ran away but was
scared upon Informant calling out "Stop Thief". [..] That
said Richard Blandy< no role > then took Charged of said John Murphy< no role > ,
from whom he was also resumed and got away. And the said
Richard Blandy< no role > says that after this Informant had taken Charge
of said Murphy, in endeavouring to bring him before a Justice the
was rescued from this Informant by a number of Persons and
got away.
