The Information of Mary the Wife of David
Griffiths

Labourer & John Peach< no role > of Charles Street Hatton
Garden Labr . taken before me [..] this 24th
day of November 1783 being on of His Majestys
Justices of the peace in and for the said County

Who being on their Oaths say and first the said Mary
Griffiths
< no role > for herself saith That the House of her
Husband the said David Griffiths< no role > Situate in Rose Court
Tower Street London was Robbed of Sunday Articles
of Household and Wearing apparel on Saturday last
the 22d. day of November Instant and That the
Tea Chest. Coffee pot, Powder Box< no role > Mans Coat
Womans Petticoat and the Divers other Articles of
Wearing Apparel now produced are the property
of her said Husband and were Stolen from him as
aforesaid

And this Informant John Peach< no role > for himself saith That about
one Quarter before six o'Clock on Saturday Even &
last the person now present who says his Name is
Susannah Dawson< no role > hired this Informant (being an
Hackney Coachman ) in the Minories and ordered
him to Drive her into Tower Street which he did
and there she took intoahis said Coach a Buadle
and other Things which he afterwards found to be the
aforesaid Articles, That the said Susannah Dawson< no role >
Ordered this Informant to Drive her to several
Different Places where she endeavoured to pawn said
things Out could not at last he Drove her to a
Public House in [..] old montague Street White Chapel
where a Suspicion Arising that she had Stolen the said
Things-She was Apprehended and put into the
Custody ofthea Peace Officer
