who was then in Bed in his Quarters was
Apprehended. And further this Informant not.
And this Informant Sarah Tranter for herself Saith that her husband
and the said Daniel Bailey< no role >
came to her on Tuesday last. That the
said Daniel Bailey< no role >
requested her to Pledge the Silk Gown for him
(now here produced) and to bring back the Handkerchief. That she
accordingly Pledged the Gown with Mr. Pinchbeck No. 4 Upper East
Smithfield Pawnbroker for five shillings, and gave the said Daniel
Bailey< no role >
four shillings who thereupon said to her there is a Piece
of Cotton now likewise produced take that and at the same time gave her the Handkerchief
in which the Silk Gown was tied inLastly Saith that
upon hearing the said Gown was Stolen she went to Mr Pinchbeck
returned him One Shilling and got a Duplicate for four shillings
and which Duplicate is now here produced.
