of the Watchmen of the Parish of St Margarets
Westminster County of Middlesex taken
before me James Meyrick< no role > Esquire one of
His Majestys Justice for City & Liberty of
Westminster

James Hairbottle< no role > maketh
Oath and says that Richard Hunter< no role > another
Watchman of said Parish came [..] Box
of said James Hairbottle< no role > , between the House
of Two and Three in the Morning of the Eighth
day of August One thousand Seven hundred
and Eighty two, and told him the said
James Hairbottle< no role > three were a Parcel of
Neives about, and borrowed [..] Rattle
they went together toward the House of
Mrs Hollingsheds [..] Hunter
going same small distance before the
Deponent, Called out Stop them, And the
Deponent immediately crossed over the
Way, upon seeing a Man with a hanger
in his hand, [..] told the said man
if he stirred he would knock him down,
the said man then dropped the Hanger
which the Deponent took up, the said
Man then run off toward Old Palace
Gard. the said James Hair bottle there
turned [..] ased and directly met another
Man running, and bid him Stop or
he would knock him down, the said
Man made no reply but instantly
