taken before me this 29th. day of January 1781

Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Thompson< no role > says that on Wednesday Night last
about half past ten o Clock he was robbed in the Road opposite
the Red Lion at Hoxton of two shillings and eight pence in
Money a red birds eye Handkerchief an Iron Tobacco Box
and a pair of grey Mittens by six footpad one of whom was armed with a Cutlass Says that
he is very sure that five persons now present who calls themselves
William Russel< no role > , William Townsend< no role > , Edmund Powel< no role > , William
Milbourne
< no role > and John Collet< no role > are five of the footpads that
robbed him as aforesaid and is very sure that the said
William Milbourne< no role > is the person that [..] attacked him
with the Cutlass And the said Thomas Carpmeal< no role > This name instance is in set 2429. This set is in the group(s): BowStreetOfficers . for
himself says that he found a Cutlas now produced
upon the person of the said William Milbourned when
be apprehended him on Thursday last at the Footman
in Waiting Alehouse was Grays Inn Lane
