The Information of Henry Ridout< no role > admitted an Evidence
in his Majesty's behalf against Edward Jones< no role >
otherwise Ravell John Hawkins< no role > and Daniel
Hopkins
< no role > taken before Us Two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County City
and Liberty

Who being upon Oath saith that for about eight or Nine Years
last past he has been acquainted with one Benjamin Cooper< no role > who
in the Month of February last lived with Mr. Fitzroy Scudamore< no role > in
Albermarle Street in the Character of a footman and this Informt.
often Used to Assist the said Benjamin Cooper< no role > in cleaning the
plate in Mr Fitzroys House and saw the several place
where the plate was put that some time in the Month of
February the said Cooper was discharged and has frequently
called upon this Informant at the Sign of the Kings Arms in Compter
Street and the Golden Lyon in Wardour Street both public Houses
used by this Informant and one Morning in particular the said
Cooper Called upon this Informant at the Kings Arms and the
person now present who calls himself Edward Jones< no role >
otherwise Ravell was there and when Cooper was gone the said
Jones Sayd to this Informant that he supposed Mr. Fitzroy was
a very rick Man and that he had a great deal of plate upon
which this Informant answered without doubt he had as he
had seen a great deal there then Jones asked him if it would come
(meaning if they could get to it) this Informants say'd without
doubt Jones then sayd it should be done once within a week and
that when it was done this Informant should have his Share
of the wack or Booly upon which this Informant told him
that the House was in Albermarle Street Four doors
from Strafford Street that the some Day or the Day following
he saw Jones again who told him that he had been to take a
Survey of the said House but that it was Impossible
to do it on Account of some Iron Barrs at the Kitchen Windows
then Jones asked if they might not get in at the Passage Door
which leads do the Pantry and this Informant Answered he did
