taker before Us two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County
City and Liberty
Who being severally upon Oath say and first this
Informant Thomas Pitts< no role >
for himself saith that he
is a Silversmith
and lives in Ayre Street Piccadilly
that
upon Sunday the 12th. of March he saw his County House
wherein he Keeps his Books & Plate was safely locked
that [..] she next Morning between Six & Seven
o Clock upon going to his said Competing House in order
to take out the Work he found the enter Door fast &
when he opened it he saw an James Door which leads
into his Silversmith Shop had Broke Open and a
Chest [..] Cupboard wherein he keep's his Plate else
Broke open and that thew had been taken & Carried
away From hundred & Sixty one Ounes of Silver in
Spanish Dorlaw and also Five hundred and Fifty five
Ounces of Silver part thereof wrought and Part
unwrought together with a Quantity of Clipings &
other small pieces of Silverof the Valuealtogether of
the Value of £300 & pounds but by whom he cannot tell
