Informant at the Bank & paid him £30 in part of
the Money for which she aforesaid DyettNoteswere given That
on the Twenty first of October last the said Lyon Elean
came to this Informant and told him that the other [..]
were of too long a Date and that he had destroyed them
& this Informant being satisfied that what the and
Elean had alledged was true he gave him two other DraftsNotes
the one for One hundred Pounds and the Other for Fifty
That on the thirty first of the same Month of October the
said Lyon Elean< no role > came again to this Informant and
told him that he could not get the two lastmentioned
DraftNotesdiscounted unless this Informant would give him
receipts for the said Sum to shew that he did business
for them (meaning this Informant & his Parteres). upon
which this Informant gave the two receipts now
produced the one dated the 31st. of October & the other
the first of November 1774 for the said Sum of One
hundred & Fifty pounds and desired although the receipts
were given the same Day that they might be dated of
different Dates That the beginning of November the said
Elean came again & brought to this Informant a thirty
Pound Bank Note which thirty Pounds & the other £30
was all the Money he ever received from the said Elean
and [..] in the first thirty pounds there were Six light
Guineas which this Informant returned to the said Elean
whichthis Informanthe has never since received [..]
[..] this Informant further saith that the two
lastmentioned Drafts are not accepted by him & he hath
refused to accept them & that the same are now Outstanding
and saith that the Note for One hundred & Sixty four
Pounds and the other for Twenty Pounds which the
said Lyon Elean had Averred to be destroyed & in View of
which the two other Notes were given have been presented
to him for payment & this Informant paid the £20
DraftsNotesrather than be Arrested but the Drafts for £164
is still outstanding this Informant further saith that
an Account able receiptis the Woodsnow produced in the
Words & figures following
