The Information of John Flaxmore< no role > taken before me this
20th.. day of Decemr. 1773 .

Who being upon Oath says that he knows James Wallis Thane< no role > and William
Conyers
< no role > now present. Says that on Tuesday night last the said William
Conyers and this Informant went to Chelsea and Hammersmith with Intent
to Rob. but in being too late and thinking it too near London they returned
home without Robbing or attempting to Rob any person and agreed to go out
on the same business earlier the next day. Says when this Informant was
pursued he threw the Pistol away. Says that on a Sunday afternoon about
five Weeks ago the said James Wallis Thane and this Informant robbed one
John Read< no role > of Apperton on the Harrow Road near his own house and who was
then on horse back, of three Guineas and three Quarter Guineas, Says
the said Thane robbed him and this Informant held his horse by the bridle. Says
that on a Saturday night about Six or Seven Weeks ago the said James Wallis Thane
and this Informant robbed a Man or Foot between Shepherds Bush and Action of
a half Guineas, a Quarter Guinea and some Silver. Says that about a Week
before the last mentioned Robbery the said James Wallis Thane and this Informant
robbed a Man on foot behind Holland House on the Action Road of about 20
Shillings one of which this Informant [..] returned him, Says he believes that the
man whom they robbed last mentioned keeps the Red Lion Publick house at Action.
Says that about two Months ago believes it was on a Monday night the said James Wallis Thane
and this Informant robbed a Gentleman and Lady in a Single Horse Chaise
on the Wandsworth Road of one Shilling and on this. Informants first Seeing it he took
it to be a Guinea, but finding the mistake he desired the [..] Lady to take it
again which she refused. Says before this the said James Wallis Thane and this
Informant stopped a Man on Horseback on the Ealing Road beyond Acton with
Intent to rob him but he said he was a Gentlemans Servant and they let him
go without robbing him. Says that a few nights before the last mentioned
attack, the said James Wallis Thane and this Informant stopped a Man and
woman in a Cart, a Woman on Horseback with Pigs, and four other Men
on the Acton Road with Intent to Rob them but took nothing from them. Says
they also stopped a man on Horseback with an Express on the same head with Intent to Rob him
but took nothing. Says sometime ago the said James Wallis Thane
