. taken before me this 29th. day of July 1774
Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Palmer for himself
says that on Tuesday night last after 11 o Clock his house situated
in Compton Street
in the Parish of Saint him Westmr. was broke open
and a Quantiity of Silver plate feloniously taken and carried away
that a Pair of Salts and a pepper Box now produced was feloniously
taken out of his house that night And the said Robert Brown< no role >
for himself says that he found the aforesaid Salts & pepper
Box< no role >
together with a Chizzel Hanger Flint Steel & Matches
on a Person now present who calls himself William Griffiths< no role >
between one and two o Clock on the Wednesday morning in
Saint Margarets Westminster
and further says he believes said
Griffiths stole said Plate out of said Palmers house as aforesaid
