me this 30th. day of December 1772

Who being upon Oath say and first the said Elizabeth Catherine Bruce< no role >
for herself says that on the 20th of December Instant a Silver
Rummer a Silver Waiter a Bod Quilt and other things now produced
were stolen out of the Apartments of Dr. Lewis Bruce< no role > in Somerset
house , and the said Israel Israel< no role > for himself says that on the
23d. of December Instant a person now present who calls himself
John Hamilton< no role > applied to him to buy some things which the said
John Hamilton< no role > said he had in a Room that he went with the
said John Hamilton< no role > to a room in Duke's Court St. Martin's Lane
where the said John Hamilton< no role > produced the said Goods now
produced and offered to sett them to this Informant, that this
Informant pretended he could not buy them without having
Scales & Weights to weigh the Plate, that he went down under
Pretence of fetching Scales & Weights and gave Information
whereby the said John Hamilton< no role > was apprehended. and the
said William Taylor< no role > for himself says that he found the
said Goods in the Room where the said John Hamilton< no role > was
apprehended
