The Information of Charles Laycock< no role > of Islington
in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell in the
County of Middlesex Cowkeeper taken before
me one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said County this 16th, November 1773.

Who upon his Oath saith that on Friday the Fifth day of this
Instant November there was feloniously stolen and driven away
from a certain Fields at Islington aforesaid in the Parish and
County aforesaid a Milch Cow spotted red and white and
marked on the right born C:L: and that this Informant is
informed and believes such Information to be true that a
certain Milch Cow answering the above Description was
brought to the Slaughter House ofWilliam John New< no role > a Butcher
in white Horse Street in the Hamlet of Ratcliff in the
County aforesaid on Saturday Night following by [..]
John Ridley< no role > and Benjamin Martin< no role > where the said Cow was
kept until Monday the Eighth Instant when it was killed
and the Car case taken away and disposed of by the said
JohnPhilipRidley< no role > and Benjamin Martin< no role > , wherefore he this said
Informant has a strong suspicion the said [..] John Ridley< no role > and
Benjamin Martin< no role > did feloniously steal and drive away
the said Milch Cow this Informants property.
