Esqr . taken before me this 23rd. day of
December 1771

Who being upon Oath says that he is Deputy Master of the Mint
at the Tower , that a person now present who calls himself Abraham
Griffiths< no role > worked for some time in the Melting Office in the Mint
and that he this Informant has at several times missed Gold
out of the Melting Office aforesaid which has been stolen
out of the said Office
