Oath before me one of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace
in and for the said County the
26th. Day of Janry in the year of our Lord 1770
This Informant saith that on Thursday last the Eleventh
Day of Janry Instant between 6 & Seven O Clock in
the Evening of the same Day this Informant met
in the Fields behind the London Infirmary
leading
towards Stepney Church
in the said County two Men
who Stoped this Informant and Demanded his money
saith that he told the said twothatMen that he had
no Money; upon which one of the said two men
Struck this Informant & knockd, him Down saith
that he got up and Delivered a leather purse whereinwherein
was Six Shillings and Six pence in Silver, totheone
of the said Men but not to the Man knocked
him down, Saith that one of the said Men had and
wore a pair of Boots and that the said man who wore
Boots was the man that Struck this Informant & Knocked
him down saith that the said two Men then Searched
his Pockets and filled & Search his Cloaths
and took from out of his Pockets one Night Cap
one Ink Bottle one Clasp Knife & one wet Stone
and one hat and then went away
