Middlesex To wit

The Information of Edward Hamilton< no role > Esqr .
and James Bolland< no role > taken before me
this 28th. day of September 1768

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said
Edwd. Hamilton< no role > for himself says that he desired one Mr. Barton
who was coming from Inn bridge to acquaint Mr. Grieeves
that he shod. be in Town on the 20 Inst. and likewise desired said
Mr. Barton to enquire after the safety of his goods says he
read a Lether from sd. Mr. Barton informing him that he had seen Mrs.
Greaves and that all his goods were safe and shod. be delivered
as he left them says that when he arrived on Tuesday the 20th
accordingly he found that said Griceveses house had been burnt
down says he saw Mrs. Grieeves the same Evening who told him
that all his Effect except what was in Mr. Bolland's hands
and saved out of the Fire sere burnt say she particularly asked her
after two Shirts which he had left in her Care to be ruffled and the to the
told him they were burnt likewise says that two days afterwards
not only found the same two Shirts but many other of his Effects
Pawned by said Grieeves and the said James Bolland< no role > for himself saith
that after the aforesaid Fire happened he heard said Mr. Grieeves
declare that also her own Goods and Cloaths wee burnt and
farther says that he has cause to suspect and does suspect and believe
that the said Mr. Grieeves wilfully set her house on Fire says
the Particularly desired to have the Appraising over on Monday because
them. [..] ted Coll Hamilton< no role > in Town on the Tuesday and farther says
that it appeased to from that wark part of Coll Hamilton< no role > 's goods
has been Pawned by Mrs. Grieeve between the 29:of Augt. and 12th.
of Sepr.
