before me one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace of the
said County

Who being ser [..] [..] Oath say & first Inst. Thos. Smith< no role > for himself
Saith That our Mr Philip Garden< no role > who [..] occupyed a house
of Bamber Gascoyne< no role > in Esqr. on Roton Green in his absence gave this Ins
the Keys of the sd. house & desired this Inst. to se [..] an the
same which he did and this Ins saith that at the time he
So did & made the fastning thereof there were in the sd house
dwine goods & Chattles belong. to Bamber Gascoyne< no role > Esqr.
[..] and about three Weeks ago. this Ins discovered that some
Persons had broke open the sd house by breaking [..] into a Kitchen Window & this Ins endeavouring
to find out & discover the said [..] And this Ins watched
the said house ser [..] Nights & on the third or fourth Night he
got the other Ins and another to watch with him & they [..] concealed
themselves in the her house adjoining to the Dwelling house
and about Ten at Night on Friday the 23d day of Decr.
as this Ins & the others lay concealed he this Insa [..] Man
how present who calls himself Geo Price come over the
Drawbridge into the Yard and as he came along called out
West, West and went up to anouthouse formerly used as an Lab [..] was the sd. Dwelling
house & open'd the Door & went in wherein the [..] & the other
Ins pursued after him & took him with Seven plates bet. his
feet (which sd. Plates were in the Dwelling house on the
Tuesday before) and the next Mong upon looking near the sd.
Plan he found his among some Rubbish Eight Dis [..] &
Ten Plates and a Pottage Pott and this Ins further
