AN INQUISITION indented, taken for our Sovereign LORD the KING, at the House
of Messrs. Austin & Lewistor in White Chaple
in the County of
Middlesex
, the Eleventh Day of June in the 43d Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign LORD GEORGE the Third
, by the Grace of GOD of the Untied Kingdom
of Great-Britain and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Edward
Walter one of the CORONERS of our said LORD the KING for the Said County,
on View of the Body of Gertd
Lewison
then and there lying dead,
upon the Oath of the several Persons whose Names are hereunder-written and Seals affixed,
good and lawful Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to inquire, for our said LORD the KING, when, how, and by what Means, the said
Gertd Lewison came to hee Death, do, upon
their Oath, say, That the said Gertd Lewison not been
of Sound Mind Memory and understanding but
Lunatic
and Distracted on the Seventh day of June
instant at the Parish and County aforesaid Hung
himself and them and there instantly Died and so
the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath do say He came to
his Death by his own hands and not by any Violence
done him by any Person whom so ever
IN WITNESS, whereof as well the said CORONER as the said
the Foreman of the said Jurors, and the Rest of his said Fellows, have, to this Inquisition set
their Hands and Seals, the Day, Year, and Place first above-written.
