An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at the Parish
of Saint Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex the twentieth day of October
in the twenty fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third , by the Grace of God
of great Britain France, and Ireland, King Defender of the Faith, and soforth before Thomas
Phillipsone of the Coroners of our said Lord the King, for the said County, on view of
the Body of Mary Lawleythen and there lying Dead upon the Oath of

Pillow, William Hurst< no role > John Randall< no role > William Harwood< no role > , Alexander Rowland< no role > ,
Joseph Taylor< no role > , Henry Astow< no role > , Joseph Malkin< no role > & John Turner< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged, to inquire for our said Lord the King, when, how, and by what Means the said
Mary Lawley< no role > came to her death, as upon their Oath say, That
the said Mary Lawley< no role > on the nineteenth Day of October in the Year aforesaid being in a Left in
Bleeding Heart Yard in the Parish and County aforesaid hanging out Cloaths to dry It so
happened That she the said Mary Lawley< no role > then and there accidentally casually and by Misfortune
fell from thence upon the Wheel of a Carriage standing there, By means whereof she the said
Mary Lawley< no role > did then and there receive one Mortal Fracture in and upon the Skull of her the
said Mary Lawley of which said mortal Fracture she the said Mary Lawley< no role > then and there died
And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say That the said Mary Lawley< no role > in Manner
and by the Means aforesaid accidentally casually and by Misfortune Came to her Death

In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said John Evans< no role > the
Foreman of the said Jurors, on the behalf of himself and the rest of his said Fellows, in their
presence have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals, the day and Year first above
written.
