AN INQUISITION indented, taken for our Sovereign LORD the KING, at the Middlesex
Hospital situate in Charles Street in the Parish of Saint Mary le bone
in the County of
Middlesex , the Fourth Day of December in the Fortieth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign LORD GEORGE the Third , by the Grace of GOD of Great-Britain, France
and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before George Hodgson< no role > Gentleman
one of the CORONERS of our said LORD the KING, for the said County, on View of the Body of
Ann Steed< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of
the several Persons whose Names are hereunder-written and Seals affixed, good and lawful
Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly sworn and
charged to inquire, for our said LORD the KING, when, how, and by what Means, the said
Ann Steed< no role > came to her
Death, do, upon their Oath, say, That the said Ann Steed< no role > on the thirtieth Day
of November in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and in the
County aforesaid by falling down certain Stairs then and there
being accidentally came to her Death and not otherwise
IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said CORONER asthe said John Beaumont< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors, and the Rest of his said Fellows, have, to this Inquisition set
their Hands and Seals, the Day, Year, and Place first above-written.
