An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
in the County of Middlesex , the twenty seventh Day of December in the 23d. Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroner s of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body of Thomas Williams< no role > and William Sampbell< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of Alexander Hoole Alexander< no role > This name instance is in a workspace.
Chrystall Richard Ashley< no role > John Lucey< no role > John Glover< no role > James Sinclair< no role > good and lawful
Men of the said County duly chosen And Jacob Gale< no role > Thomas Cusick George Owen< no role >
Charles Yetman< no role > William Stroms< no role > and Robert Howell< no role > prisoners in the Prison
called Clerkenwell Bridewell New Prison

good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required,and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said Thomas Williams< no role >
and William Sampbell< no role > came to [..] their Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said Thomas William< no role >
being a Prisoner in New Prison aforesaid in the Parish and County
aforesaid on the Twenty fourth day of December in the Year aforesaid
departed this Life by the visitation of God in a natural way to Wit of a
Fever and not otherwise and That the said William Sampbell< no role > on the
Twenty sixth day of December in the Year aforesaid also departed then
Life at the said Prison by the visitation of God in a natural Way to Wit
of a Decline and not otherwise

In Witness whereof, as well as the said Coroner, as the said Alexander Hoole< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned.
