Conversation the deceased's foot slipt off the Wharf
and he made an Attempt to save himself four
falling by laying holdg the Crane but failed and
Pre down into a Baye and struck his Head upon the
Wash Boardg He was taken up immediately but did
not speak That John Elliott< no role > stood nearest to him
about the distance of Two Yards.

John Elliott< no role > of No 19 Maid Lane Southwark Wharf [..] in
at Mr Peacock Wharf Mouse lague Close upon his Oath
saith That on Wednesday last He was in the Crane
at the Wharf and the Deceased was standing on the
Stage which is about three feet Wide and Eight or nine
feet long and was talking about an Accident that had
happened to and her 9 Mr. Peacocks Men when
his [..] slipped and he fell off the Stage And attempted
to save himself by laying held of the Crane but
missed it and fell into a Baye about six [..] Yards
below the Stage and pitched his Head upon the
Wash Board on the Bayes Side and then over
into the barse, Deponent assisted in taking him
up hard he was taken to the Hospital by William
Wall Isaac Hockley< no role > and David Archer< no role > Servants
to Mr Peacock
