in the Ward of Farringdon

on the twenty first day of June in the thirty sixth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George

aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for
our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said

to his death say upon their oath that on the eighteenth day of June in the year aforesaid
a certain Cart drawn by three houses being standing near a certain gateway leading into a
certain yard situate in Whitecross street
in the parish of Saint Giles without Cripplegate
in
the Ward of Cripplegate
without in London aforesaid and the said

a blind man being feeling his
way there with a certain stick which he had and held in his right hand It so happened
that the said

accidentally casually and by misfortune struck the shaft horse
of the said Cart by means whereof the said horses so drawing the said Cart did pass
from and out of the said street up the said gateway and into the said yard and the near
wheel of the said Cart did then and there accidentally force the said

to and
against the ground and stone pavement there and did go upon and pass over the left leg
body and head of him the said

and did then and there give to him the said

divers mortal bruises in and upon the left leg body and head of him the said

of which
said mortal bruises he the said

as well at the said parish of Saint Giles without Cripplegate
in the ward of Cripplegate
without in London aforesaid as also at the abovementioned parish of Saint
Bartholomew the less in the ward of Farringdon
without in London
aforesaid did languish and
languishing did live and on the same day and year last aforesaid
at London
aforesaidat the
parish and ward last aforesaid at London
aforesaid the said

bruises did die. And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said

in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually and by
misfortune came to his death and not otherwise. and that the near wheel of the said Cart was moving to the death of the said

and is of the value of one dwelling and the property of a certain person to the Jurors aforesaid unknown In Witness whereof as well the said
