Deposition of a Witness taken at
London that is to say, at the Parish of
Saint Sepulchre in the Ward of Farringdon
without in London aforesaid this second
day of January 1795 on view of the
Body of Joseph Ferrell< no role > now here Lying
Dead

Nicholas Bird< no role > a Prisoner for Debt on His Majestys Gaol
of Newgate maketh Oath that he hath known the deced
Joseph Ferrell< no role > about six Weeks that he was also a Prisoner
for Debt in the said GaolThat about nine Days ago the
deced was taken ill with the smal Poxthat he had a
very bad Sort and continued very ill until Wednesday
Evening last when he departed this Lifethat he was
attended by the Surgeon of the Gaol during his illness
That he was an aged Man And Dept. has no doubt
the aforesaid disorder occasioned the deced Death.
