An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London
that is to say at the parish of Saint Bridget otherwise Bride in the ward of Farringdon
without in London aforesaid on the twenty Eighth day of March in the thirty second Year of
the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain
France and Ireland King defender of the faith and so forth Before Thomas Shelton< no role >
Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of
Southwark on view of the Body of Thomas Eaton< no role > now here lying dead by the Oath of
Robert Gordon< no role > , Benjamin Lawrance< no role > , John Roberts< no role > , Richard Duck< no role > , Thomas Franklin< no role >
William Ranceman< no role > , Richard Jefferies< no role > , Charles Philps< no role > , Thomas Smith< no role > , William Cox< no role >
John Jones< no role > , John Littlemore< no role > and Richard Warren< no role > Good an lawfulmen of the City of
London aforesaid who being now here duly chosen Sworn and charged to Inquire for our
said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Thomas Eaton< no role > came to
his death say upon their Oath that the said Thomas Eaton< no role > on the said twenty eighth day
of March in the year aforesaid was and for a long time before had been Sick and diseased
his Body and of such Sickness and disease did languish until the said twenty eighth day of
March in the Year aforesaid when the said Thomas Eaton< no role > within His Majestys Prison of the
Fleet by the visitation of God died a natural death and no violent means or method
whatsoever In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Robert Gorton< no role > the
Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence
have to this Inquisition set their hands and Seals the day Year and place first above written.
