he was so doing he fell forwards with his forehead
upon the Stones in the Yards and never moved or stirred
after that one of the prisoners went to the deced and
[..] lifted him up [..] in his Arms
and immediately after he died in his Arms that he has
known both the deced and Stanton about three Weeks
that they always appeared upon very good terms and
friendly to each other

George Hindmark< no role > a Prisoner in His Majesty< no role > 's Gaol of
Newgate on a charge of Piracy and Murder maketh Oath
that he hath slept in the same Room with the deced Stanton
and several other prisoners about five Weeks that
about eight OClock yesterday Morning the deced went to
where Stanton was and took some Bazill Strings with
which Stanton ususally tied his Irons up with from off the
floor of the Room and immediately went down Stairs into
the yard of the prison that Stanton immediately followed
him as did Dept. and several other Prisoners who slept
in the same Room that when they had all got into the
yard Stanton< no role > went to the deced and asked him for the
Bazill Strings< no role > the deced sayed he would not give them
to him Stanton sayed he would have them the deced
swore he should not & Stanton then went away from the
deced the deced then followed Stanton and on coming up
to him some words passed between them that they then
