Southwark Depositions of Witnessses taken at the Parishes
of Saint Thomas within the Borough of
South wark in the County of Surrey the
6th day of May 1791 on view of the body of
Richard Bush< no role > now here lying Dead

William [..] cas the Younger of No.51 Thread needle Street
London Surgeon maketh oath that a little after the hour of one
in the Morningafternoonof Monday last Dept. attended the deced
[..] had sen brought [..] at the house of Mr. Hale of the Pom [..] ry London Pastry Cook for an Injury he
had received on his head that he examined the deced and
found a fracture on the right side of his head just above the
forehead-that his Chest was much [..] ouised that he bled
very much at the Month and Nose-that the deced was quite
insensible-that Dept. droped the deceds wound and then left
him directing that the deced should he taken to Guys Hospital
that non after Dept. went in Company with his Father to
Guys Hospital in the Borough of Southwark in order to See
the decedthat they there saw the deced and on further examination
the found the deced head fractured in several places-that
Dept. Hended the [..] James Morning [..] about te [..] O Clock
Guys Hospital aforesaid and there found the deced dead-(Dept
harns doubt the fracture the deced had on his head as before
mentioned occasisoned the deceds death

Oath that about eleven OClock on Sunday Night last the deced who
was his Porter [..] came homethat heappeareddeliver the deced was a little intoxicated with Liquor
that soon after Dept. saw the deced go up Stairs in order as Dept.
believes to go to Bed-that the deced [..] usually Slept in a Garrett
at the Top of the house in the same Room with three Apprentices
of Dept: that about One O Clock in the same Night Dept. hearing
agreat norie went out of his Room with a Candle that as soon as
(Dept. got out of his Room he heard a great gogling [..] and on looking over
the Cannister of the Stairs in Depts. house he saw the deced lying
near the bottom of the Stairs with his head downewards and one
