LondonDepositions of Witnesses taken at
London, that into say, at Saint Bartholo-
-mew Hospital in the Hard of Farrington
with out in London aforesaid the 8th day
of April 1791 on view of the Body of
John Chalkley< no role > now here lying Dead.

Samuel Cook< no role > of No. 6 Rose Alley Bishopsgate street
London Box maker maketh Oath that he hath known the
deced John Chalkley< no role > about three Yrs. of a year that the
deced lodged in Dept. home the whole of that time
that he was a Ticket Poster and rented the two pair
of Stairs front Room in Dept. house that between the house of
seven and eight in the Evening of Sunday had Dept.
hearing a Noise in the [..] deceds Room went up
stairs and on going into the deced Room he found the
deced lying on his hands and knees and a great quantity
of Blood under him and quite insensible Dept. immediatley
went for a Mr. Taylor a Surgeon who returned with
Dept. the deced and on examining the deced he found
a [..] in his Threat that the deced was taken in
a Chair Saint Bartholomews Hospital - that noon after
the deced was taken to the Hospital Dept. found a Rozor
very bloody and a pair of [..] lying in the Blood
Where the deced lay before he was taken to the Hospital
that Dept. has observed the deced very much dejected
circumstances so much so that he was unable to pay Dept.
all the Rent he owed him - that Dept. saw the deced on
the Monday following at the Hospital but he was
unable to speak but appeared sensible - that Dept.
saw the deced about two OClock on the Tuesday following
and on Dept. comeing to the Hospital on Wednesday
Morning following he was informed the deced was dead
