Depositions of Witnesses taken
at London, that is to say, at the Parish
of Saint Ann Black Friar in the Ward
of Farringdon within in London
aforesaid the 7th day of April 1791
on View of the Body of Edward Fellow< no role >
now here lying Dead

Samuel Stanley< no role > a Lodger [..] in a house
near Caroline Court Saffron Hill Watch case maker now
working for Mr. Palmer of Red Lion Street Clerkenwell
Middlesex Watch case maker maketh Oath that on Tuesday
fortnight last Dept. the deced, one swinfield and one
William Cole< no role > were in Company together drinking in the
Forenoon that after drinking pretty freely they all went
to Blackfrian Bridge together that they took a Boat
belonging to one William Norton< no role > . That they all went
in the Boat from Blackfier Bridge to Mill Bank
Westminster - that they landed there and went to a
Public house called the spread Eagle Kept by one
Ayscoughe - that the deced and Cole were so much
intoxicated when they got out of the Boat at Mill bank
that they fell down together in the mud - that they
all drank amongst them at the Spread Eagle Three
half pints of Brandy - That they all went down to
the Waterside at Mill bank and got into the Boat and
set off in order [..] go to Chelsea [..] Bridge being
all very much intoxicated with Liquor at this time
that when they had got near Chelsea Bridge the deced
and Cole playing to gether by some means fell over board
together the deced falling undermost - that Swinfield
not being so much intoxicated as Dept. immediately
Jumped up and caught hold of Cole and got him into
the Boat that he was quite indensible - that the deced
sunk immediately under the Water and Dept. saw
nothing more of the deced until this Evening when he
saw him lying Dead.
