chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said
Louis Gigognan came to his Death say upon their Oath that on the ninth day of July in the Year aforesaid

Shereiff of the County of Surrey
having in his Custody and possession a certain Warrant under the Hand and seal
of the said Sheriff whereby the said

was directed to take and arrest the Body of the said Louis
Gigognan to answer for a certain Debt then due by the said Louis Gigonan to a certain person or persons
whose name or names to the Jurors is or are as yet unknown And that the said

in pursuance and for the due and lawful execution
of the said Warrant and in order to take and arrest the Body of the said Louis Gigognan for the Debt and upon the
Warrant aforesaid did go to the lodging Room of the said Louis Gigognan on the second Floor

dwelling house of one

aforesaid in the County aforesaid And that the said

did then and there suddenly force and
Croak open the door of the said Lodging Room of the said
Louis Gigognan< no role >
he the said Louis Gigognan there
being therein And that he the said Louis Gigognan well knowing he premises but contriving and endeavouring
to wade the pursuit of the said

as such Officer as aforesaid and the said

his servant as aforesaid and in order to avoid being arrested and taken for the Debt aforesaid did then and
there precipitately jump from and out of the Window of the said
[..] room on the second Keor of the said dwelling house
andinto the open
Street and to and upon the Stone Pavement there Whereby the said Louis Gigognan did then and there receive
one mortal wound and fracture in and upon the Head of him the said Louis Gigognan of which said
mortal wound and fracture he the said Louis Gigognan did then and there instantly die And the Jurors
aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said Louis Gigognan in manner and by the means
aforesaid casually and by misfortune was accidentally killed In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner
