Informations of Witnesses taken at the
Parish of Christ Church in the Ward of
Farringdon within in London the 4th. day
of December 1788 on view of the Body of
Walter Thomas< no role > then and there lying dead

William Wright< no role > a Prisoner in His Majesty< no role > 's Gaol of
Newgate maketh Oath and saith he hath known the deced
Walter Thomas< no role > for this Six Months past that he was also
a Prisoner in the said Gaol that he came into the Sick
Ward where Deponent attends on Tuesday afternoon
last that he appeared very Cold and trembling as if he
had an Ag [..] on himthat he continued very ill until
between ten and eleven OClockthat about that time
Dept. getting up to give one of the Patients in Sick Ward
some Wine he observed the deced lying without any of
his Bed Cloaths over him Dept halloed to him and asked
him why he did not cover himself as he must be cold
but received no Answer and on going to the deced he
found him dead. That the Surgeon of the said Gaol
had seen the deced previous to his going into the Sick
Ward.
