To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. James , at Clerkenwell , in the County of
Middlesex ; and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of St: Dionis backchurch Finchurch
Street in the City of London .

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us,
whose Hands and Seals are hereunto set, being
Two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the
County of Middlesex , (One whereof being of the Quo-
rum,) by the Church-Wardens or Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. James at Clerkenwell , in the said Coun-
ty, That William Coe< no role > and Ann < no role > his Wife with
three Children vizt. William < no role > aged about five Years
Richard < no role > aged about three Years and Mary < no role > aged
about Two Years
lately came to inhabit in the said Parish of St. James at
Clerkenwell , not having gained any legal Settlement
there, nor produced any Certificate acknowledging himself
to be settled elsewhere, and they are likely tobecome
chargeable to the said Parish: We, the Said Justices, upon
Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and other Cir-
cumstances, do adjudge the same to be true, and do also
adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said
William, Ann, William Richard and
Mary
to be in the Parish of St: Dionis Backchurch Finchurch Street
in the City of London

THESE are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, and by
Virtue of the Statutes in that Behalf, to require you,
on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said William,
Ann, Richard, William and Mary
from and out of your said Parish of St. James at Clerken-
well, to the said Parish of St: Dionis Backchurch Finchurch Street
and them deliver to the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are
hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law.
Given under our Hands and Seals this Seventeenth
Day of February in the Year of Our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety six .
