MIDDLESEX


WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
[..] His MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace in and for the
County of MIDDLESEX (one whereof being of the
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. LUKES , in the said County, That
Martha Ball< no role > Wife of Richard Ball< no role >
(who is gone away and left Her) and
her Child named Mary< no role > aged about
Two Years have
lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to Settle there,
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices,
and we do adjudge that they are likely to become charge-
able to the said Parish; and upon Examination of the premisses
and other Circumstances taken upon oath
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of Saint Dionis Back Church in the
City of London
is the Place of the legal Settlement of the said Martha
Ball and her said Child
These are therefore in his MAJESTY'S Name to Charge and
Command the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. LUKE , forthwith to remove and convey the said
Martha Ball< no role > and her said Child
from the said Parish of St. LUKE , to the said Parish of
Saint Dionis Back Church and deliver them to the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for them
according to Law. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the 21st. Day of July1779

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the respective Parishes
of St. LUKE, in the County of MID-
DLESEX, and Saint Dionis
Back Church in the City
of London
and to all other Officers whom it may
concern.
