WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. James
Clerkenwell unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(Quorum nuus) for the County aforesaid, That Susannah
Stedman
< no role > & Joseph< no role > her son aged about
14 monthshathhave
lately intruded Themselves into your said Parish of
St. James Clerkenwell
there to inhabit as Parishioners Contrary to the Laws relat
ing to the Settlement of the Poor, and are there likely to be-
come chargeable, if not timely prevented: And whereas, upon due
Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises, upon Oath
of the said Susannah Stedman< no role >
it appears unto us, and We accordingly Adjudge, That the said
Susannah Stedman< no role > & Joseph her son
are
Likely to become Chargeable unto the said Parish of St. James
Clerkenwell and that the last Legal Place of
Settlement of the said Susannah Stedman< no role > & Joseph< no role >
her son is in the said Parish of
St. Dyonis Backchurch

There are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, to Order and Require you
the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. James Clerkenwell aforesaid, that you,
or some of you, do forthwith Remove and Convey the said Susannah
Stedman
< no role > & Joseph< no role > her son
from your said Parish of St. James
Clerkenwell to the said Parish of St. Dyonis
Backchurch and [..] deliver
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy thereof, whereby they are likewise Required, in His Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Cafe, and forthewith to
to receive the said Susannah Stedman< no role > & Joseph< no role >
her son
into their said Parish and provide for them
as their own Parishioners Given under our Hands and Seals, the
second Day of December Anno Regni George
