Whereas it appeareth unto us Two of his Majties. Justice of
the Peace for the said County of Middlx
(Quorn Nuns) upon the
complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers

Poor of the parish of St. Mary Matfellon
at Whitechapple
in the
County of Middlx that

come into the said Parish contrary to Law And whereas it also
appearseth unto us that by reason of the Poverty of the said
Elizabeth

she having nothing wherewith to maintaine herself the
will unavoidably become a great charge to the said Parish of St Mary
Matfellon als Whitechapple
if not speedily prevented all which were
We said Justices of the Peace
doe adjudge to be true And whereas it
also further appeareth unto us upon the Oath of the said
Elizabeth

that she was last legally settled in the Parish of St. Dionis
Backchurch in the Citty of London, And now upon a strict and
diligent Examination wee cannot find any legall Settlement that
the said
Elizabeth Jarratt< no role >
hath had or gained elsewhere since
Wee doe therefore adjudge the said parish of St. Dionis Backchurch
in the Citty of London to be the place of the last legall Settlement
of the said
Elizabeth Jurratt< no role >
and that she ought to be sent thither
These are therefore in his Majties name to will
and command you and every of you forthwith upon sight hereof
to Pass and convey the said Elizabeth Jurratt< no role >
from the said
parish of St. Mary Matfellon at Whitechapple
in the County
of Middlx
to the said Parish of St. Dionis Backchurch
in the
Citty of London and to deliver her together with this present
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there or to some or
one of them who are hereby required her to receive and provide for as
they doe further such Poor of their said Parish untill they shall
be freed from her by due course of Law & fail not a Given under
our hands and Seals this 8th. day of January Ann Dorn 1714
