Fire Engine

Mr. Church Warden Gosling laid before the Vestry
a Bill of Mr. John Bristow< no role > for the Repairs of the
Engine amounting to Thirteen Pounds four shillings And It was ordered that Mr. Gosling be
allowed for the payment thereof upon the Audit of
his Account.

Poor in
Workhouses

Mr. Gosling acquainted the Gentlemen present
that there were Sixteen Poor of this Parish in the
Workhouse at Hoxton , and that no Complaint had
been made to him by any Poor in the Workhouse
during the time he had been Church Warden.

This Vestry was then adjourn'd till another
Summons shall be issued

The Minutes of the last Vestry being read, Mr. Church
Warden Gosling acquainted the Gentlemen present that
this Vestry was called at the desire of Mr. Hankey, who
would be glad to Fine for the Office of Church Warden.

Mr. Hankey Alledged, that since his Election to the
Office of Church Warden, he had consider'd the matter,
and did not think he should be able to pay that attention
to the Office which was requisite and therefore desired
leave to Fine.

Mr. Church Warden Gosling moved that Mr. Hankey
be Excused from serving the Office of Church Warden
upon payment of the usual Fine, and being seconded
the Question was put and Carried in the Affirmative.
