The Vestry then proceeded to the Nomination of
Overseers
, And Mr. Church Warden Barber, Mr. Maynard,
Mr. Pope, and Mr. Green were severally Nominated to
be Overseers of the Poor for the year ensuing.
Auditors
Ordered that Mr. Maynard, Mr. Pope Mr. Green and
Mr. Rutt (late Overseers) Mr. James Mr. Boyd Mr. Lem,
Mr. Hebert, and Mr. Hudson, or any three of them be
appointed Auditors to Audit the Account of Mr. Church-
-Warden Barber the same to be Audited in one Month
after ascension day.
Philpot Lane

Mr. Church Warden Barber then Reported from the
Committee appointed to Let the House in Philpot Lane,
that the Committee had agreed to Let the said House
to Mr. Theed on Lease for Twenty one Years at Thirty
five Pounds per Annum That by the said Agreement
the Parish was to be at the expence of taking down and
rebuilding the Party Wall and Mr. Theed was to put
the House in Compleat Repair at his own Expence.
Dinner on
Ascension Day}
Mr. Jutet Moved That the Thanks of this Vestry
be given to Mr. James Poultney for his great Civility
shown to the Inhabitants of this Parish and Readiness
to accomodate them and the Public in his intended
Buildings at the end of Philpot Lane and that the
Church Wardens be desired to invite him to Dine with
the Inhabitants on Ascension day next and being
seconded by Mr. Maynard the Question was put and
