An Order for making
a Church Rate.

St. Dionis Back Church .

At a Publick Vestry held for this Parish on Wednesday
the Second Day of July One Thousand Seven Hundred
and Forty Six in the Vestry Room of the said Parish
pursuant to Publick Notice given in the Church for
that Purpose It was Agreed by the Parishioners
then Assembled in Vestry that a Rate or Assessment
be made on the Parishioners Inhabitants and
other Occupyers of Houses Lands Tenements Shops
Stalls and other Premisses in the said Parish
for the Necessary Repairs of the said Church
and other necessary Expences and Disbursements
for one Year Commencing from Easter last to
Easter next ensuing after the Rate of Six
Pence in the Pound to be Computed according
to the Land Tax Books and that the Church-
-Wardens gett such Rate made and Confirmed
as necessary.

The Church Dial ordered to be
now painted and a New Vane
or Weathercock to be Sett up
upon the Lantern of the Bell
Tower or Steeple of the Church.

A Complaint being afterwards made by
Several Gentlemen present That the Church
Dial Plate was much worn and Defaced
And that a New Vane or Weathercock was
wanting upon the Lantern of the Bell Tower
or Steeple of the Church It was moved
That the present Church Wardens be empowered
by this Vestry to Repair the Same And after
Some Debate the Question was putt on the
said Motion and passed in the Affirmative.

Ordered that the present Church Wardens be
empowered by this Vestry to treat and Agree
