At a Vestry hold on the 26 Day of Augst 1723

This Vestry was Summoned by Mr Wm Flemming< no role >
Upper Church Warden who acquainted the Vestry that
Mr Hiccocks desired a monument might be erected in the
West Corner Wall of the Church In memory of Mr: Whereupon it was putt
to the Vote wether £15.20 or 25 Should be given for the
priviledge of erecting the Same

It was agreed that the said Mr Hiccocks< no role > Should pay £20
and thereupon have leave to erect the said Monument
provided the said Wall should by able and Experienced
Workmen be adjudged Sufficient to Support the same And
provided the fixing up of the said intended Monument
Should not dampnify the said Wall

John Carter< no role > in St Bartholomews Hospitall having
lost the use of his Limbs and being advised by his
Physicians that goeing to the Bath for about a months
time would restore him to the use thereof he desired this
Parish to contribute to the Expense of his Journey or
otherwise to take him a Lodging & putt him under the
Care of one Mr Fenderell who he was informed had made
great Cures and was likely to do him Service

It was ordered that the Church Wardens and Overseers
Should first enquire into the Caracter of Mr Fenderell and< no role >
then the Vestry left it to their Direccon whether Mr Ca [..]
