At this Court a dispute arow Whether the Company thosd allow 3-16-8
so much being charged to the Company for Trophy tax for the years 1734 & 1738
to for Mrs on Mr Lewis's Premises in Lyme street thereupon & on deced
of the [..] which sd. Sume of 3.16:8 the Company insted was [..] a front
deal more than they ought to allow for according to the Rent Mr. Lewis
pd. the Company wch. is [..] or 71:0:0 P ann ground Rent Which at 2d. in the pound [..]
[..] for one year comes to but Eleven Shell & ten pence wch. being doubled
for the two years is 1:3:8 therefore it plains appeared to the Company that
Mr. Lewis was changed for the improved Rent thereupon Mr. Leathen Well decd
[..] omitted Changed some former an way of Trophy tax therefore it was agreed that
the above sume be now allowed but £15.5 should be no president for the future

Mr. Smith the Companys Tenant in Hog Lane wants a new Chinney built by
the Company to be plainstered & white Washed & that the Company would allow
him ten Shillings towards the Expence he has been at in making a pair of Celler Stains
Ordered accordingly.

Mr. Do Young the Companys Tenant in the New Buildings London Well
desires there laye shelves to be put up in the Gariett a little Clorett up
one pair of stairs & another up two pair of stairs Ordered accordingly

Mr. James Fordham< no role > the Companys Tenant at the Hall appeared at this Court
& laid before the Court an agree with dated 25 June 1739 made between Wm. Locking< no role > & the sd
Fordham [..] which was read by the clerk [..] that the Fordham
was to take the house Etc next to Carpenters Hall gate held by Lease of
the Carpentrs Company for 19 years to come on a ground Rent of 5:10:0
P ann for the whale time so lett & on the same Consuants contacted in
the sd Lease & sd. Fordham At pay the sd. Company 5:10:0 P ann
& 6: [..] 0 P ann to sd. Cocking Comening from Michas next clear of
all Land tax or anyother tax whatsoever from that time & to Indempling
sd. Cocking from any Claim or demand whatsoever to be made by the said
Carpentors Company after such Comencement of Rent as aforesd & sd
Cocking does thereby Promise to pay & discharge all such Rentor Taxes as
refused be findly demanded before such time & made the sd. James Fordham< no role >
a [..] Some Tille to the Premes more the sd. [..] James Fordham< no role > desired
that the sd. locking [..] have liberty to assign over the sd. premises to him
for the Rent of the term to Come in the [..] but subject to the Rents.
