Mr. Grayson now gave his note for two guines to Mr. Warden
Hawkins for being Excused from the house he took in the New Buildings
in London Well

Carpenters Hall London

Whereas frequent Complaints have been made to the Master Wardens and Assistants of the Worship
full Company of Carpenters That many Persons do exercise and follow the trade of Carpentry in the City
of London Who are not free of the said City And also That others do exercise and follow the said Business
of Carpentry That have not been brought up and educated to the same as an Apprentice for the space of
seven years which is Contrary to a Statute made the 5th: of Elizabeth Now to prevent the like
abuses for the future the said Company do hereby give Notice That all Persons who shall hereafter
affend in the premisses will be prosecuted as the Law directs Nathll Poole< no role > Clerk to the
said Company
